Care Service Manager – South Kent Coast
We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced people manager to join the team of our
well-established home care company as a Care Service Manager.
Beech Tree Total Care has been awarded a new Kent County Council contract which means we are expanding our already well-established care services into the Shepway and South Kent Coast area.
The main responsibilities will be :
We will need you to be extremely flexible and adaptable (especially while we build the service) and so the ability to think laterally and on your feet, juggle priorities, take a ‘can do’ approach to your work together with excellent people management, communications and computer/IT skills will be required.
You must have the right to work in the UK and hold a full driving licence and have use of a car to travel as part of your role.
You will be required to undergo a full Disclosure and Barring Service process for this role.
The main responsibilities will be :
- assisting with building the team who will work in this area, including interviewing and selection of new staff
- ensuring there is sufficient cover to deliver care and support services on time
- monitoring the allocation of carers to maximise efficiency of available resources
- acting as the key point of contact when accepting, allocating and processing new referrals for care and support
- producing detailed care and support plans and to ensure these are reviewed on a regular basis and updated accordingly taking part in the out of hours emergency on-call rota.
- working closely with other office-based colleagues to maintain up-to-date electronic and handwritten records
- working with the Care team and other health and social care professionals to deliver
high quality home care services and to make improvements where necessary - working closely with the Senior Management Team and Directors to help find a suitable new office
within the South Kent Coast area
